Special April 6th only - special gift with all orders for Arbroath items

The Declaration of Arbroath also known as the "Scottish Declaration of Independence" was signed at Arbroath Abbey on the 6th of April 1320 to petition the Pope to intervene on the behalf of Scotland. The inscription on our prints is a portion of this famous document. For the old school folks, here is the original in Latin, for the rest of us, the original in English with the inscription marked in red. Either way it's a fascinating document that has influenced history in many ways over the centuries. (We can do your Declaration in Latin if you wish). This Declaration (in English) showcases the MacBean tartan colors but the design is available with the tartan of your choice. Check out our tartan finder on the right to see which tartans are right for you. Artwork © 2002-2006 by Celtic Papers.add 2 cart
